              أكد مفتي عام المملكة العربية السعودية رئيس هيئة كبار العلماء رئيس اللجنة الدائمة للبحوث العلمية والإفتاء الشيخ عبد العزيز بن عبد الله آل الشيخ، أن إخراج صدقة الفطر نقودا لا ثواب له

    وقال الشيخ عبد العزيز بن عبد الله آل الشيخ إن ذلك مخالف لسنة النبي محمد والخلفاء الراشدين الذين كانوا يخرجونها من الطعام

    وأضاف مفتي عام المملكة: "زكاة الفطر تخرج من جنس طعام الآدميين من البر والأرز والزبيب والإقط وغير ذلك، وهي تجب على المسلم في المكان الذي يدركه فيه غروب الشمس في آخر يوم من رمضان، كما يجوز إخراجها قبل العيد بيوم أو يومين

    وصرح بأنه يمكن البدء في إخراجها من يوم 28 رمضان أو 29 من الشهر الفضيل، مشيرا إلى أنه يجب أن تسلم صدقة الفطر إلى أيدي الفقراء المحتاجين، أو تعطى لمن وكلوه لتسلمها

    وأوضح أن صدقة الفطر شرّعت على عموم المسلمين ذكورهم وإناثهم كبارهم وصغارهم وأحرارهم وعبيدهم، صاعا من طعام، مستشهدا لما جاء في الصحيحين من حديث ابن عمر رضي عنهما "فرض رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صدقة الفطر من رمضان صاعا من تمر أو صاعا من شعير على الصغير والكبير والذكر والأنثى والحر والعبد من المسلمين"، فيخرجها الإنسان عن نفسه وعمن ينفق عليه من زوجته وأولاده
