The Constitutional Court, basis for consolidating the rules of the constitutional judicial system Adrar - Participants in a study day on “the new powers of the Constitutional Court in light of the new powers of the Court”. Constitutional Court, that the Constitutional Court constitutes “the basis for establishing the rules of the constitutional judicial system and guaranteeing the sovereignty of the Constitution, rights and freedoms”. “Constitutional amendments of November 1, 2020”, held today Sunday at the Ahmed Draya University of Adrar, at the initiative of the Constitutional Court. In his intervention, Mr. Abdel Wahab Sharif, member of the Constitutional Court, representing the head of this body, confirmed that the recent amendments made to the Algerian constitution have made the citizen "the guarantor of rights and freedoms", considering that these Achievements require concerted efforts to ensure citizen knowledge of the legal aspect in terms of rights, freedoms and mastery of issues related to the language of legal use. This meeting, supervised by jurists from the judicial sector and the University of Adrar, is part of the continuation of the process launched to disseminate constitutional culture and introduce the different powers of the Constitutional Court, as control institution, according to a methodology that allows various state institutions to communicate directly with this body, according to the organizers of this event. This event also aims to attract the attention of university professors to constitutional issues and encourage them to conduct research in areas related to the Constitutional Court, to develop academic studies. This study day was an opportunity for academics, judges, lawyers, researchers, judicial staff, students as well as representatives of civil society to deepen their knowledge of constitutional law, in particular the provisions adopted in light of the Constitution of November 1, 2020.
